Adult Education
New Hope Ministries offers a variety of courses that are designed to educate, edify, comfort and strengthen believers in their walk with the Lord, including:
Biblical Portrait of Marriage
The video teaching of Bruce Wilkinson covers topics such as leaving and cleaving, the marriage relationship, handling finances, relations with in-laws-and much more. Workbooks help students reinforce what they have learned, and facilitators finish each session with a time of discussion. This 12-week class is open to married couples and couples who are planning to marry.
Divorce Recovery
Christians who have experienced divorce often find it difficult to balance conviction and conscience with emotions and feelings. This 12-week course teaches participants how to deal with their children, their ex-spouses, and their own unmet expectations and anger. Most importantly, those who attend gain comfort and hope from the survival of others.
Finances
This 4-week class, taught by an instructor, uses Larry Burkett's workbook and covers topics such as managing money, budgeting, the importance of tithing and the difference between tithes and offerings. Participants learn strategies that equip them to accomplish the specific things God has called them to do.
Growing Kids God's Way
Dr. Gary Ezzo's 18-week video class addresses parenting issues from a biblical perspective. Some of the topics covered are prelude to parenting, self worth, character development, choosing appropriate methods of discipline and sibling relationships. Classes, which are held in comfortable home settings, are limited to 10 couples.
Understanding the Bible
This 8-week class explores the fundamentals of our Christian faith including salvation, baptism, faith and prayer. It is an excellent course not only for new Christians, but also for seasoned believers who want to strengthen their walk with the Lord.
Victory Over Grief
"Where is God?" is a common question asked by those who have experienced the loss of a spouse, child, parent or loved one. This 12-week course, which deals with the emotions we experience over such a loss, not only gives participants the tools needed to restore their own wholeness, but it enables them to minister what they have learned to others as well.
